People of various castes, religions, and ethnicities still live in Bhutan. Immigrants, multilingual, and multireligious groups make up the nation's populace. Bhutanese people are known as Drukpas. The mongoloid people of Bhutan are primarily found in the central Himalayan region. Cattle farming and agriculture are the primary occupations of the Bhutanese population.


The country is made up of three main ethnic groups: the Ngalops, the Sarchops, and the Lhotshampas. The predominant gathering is the Ngalops who dwells in the western piece of the realm. They are accepted to have relocated from the Tibetan fields. They are likewise named the merchants of Buddhism to the realm. The sharchops live in the eastern Bhutan. They are regarded as the nation's earliest inhabitants. They fall under the Indo-Mongolian type category. Lhotshamps are the occupants of the south. By the end of the 19th century, it is believed that these individuals of Nepali descent arrived in the country in search of agricultural land and employment. Nepali language and Hinduism flourished in the southern part of the country as a result of their inclusion.


Brokpas and Bjops occupy in the northern locale of Bhutan. Yak herders also reside in the northern Himalayan region. They are classified as semi-monadic because they don't stay in one place for a long time. The majority of their time is spent wandering the forest. They reside in improvised tents. In the country, populations of mongoloid ancestry speak languages belonging to the Tibeto-Burman family, while Indo-Aryan ancestors speak languages belonging to the Indo-Aryan family.
